Greenstar see Health & Safety as a Value which encompasses the four elements of Service, Quality, Schedule & Cost.

The Aim of this Policy is:

To provide an incident and injury free workplace for all of our employees.

To foster a safety culture among all our employees and create an environment of continuous improvement within the organisation.

To enable our employees to embrace Safety as a Value and realise that they are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of their fellow workers.

To provide the necessary information, training and equipment to enable our employees to carry out their duties safely.

To listen and respond to safety issues raised by our employees formally or informally.

To maintain an effective accident and incident reporting system to ensure speedy reporting of all accidents and incidents.

To ensure immediate follow up of all accidents and irrclaents to establish root cause and avoid reoccurrence.

It is the policy of Greenstar to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees, contractors, customers, suppliers and others visiting or working on our various sites and location also our objective to fulfil our duties to our neighbours and to the wider community.

The company regards employee's safety as being an integral responsibility of management at all levels. All managers are expected to identify and control risks, implement safe systems of work, devise and apply safe working methods, and establish good housekeeping and progressive industrial hygiene and occupational health programmes.

Employees are reminded that they nave a legal duty under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 4 2005 to take reasonable care of their own health, safety and welfare, and that of any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. There is a specific duty to report to your supervisor any defects in plant, equipment, or systems of work which might endanger safety, health and welfare.

Greenstar understands its legal obligations, and is committed to complying with the provisions of the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and all other Health and Safety Legislation and Codes of Practice. The company recognises the paramount importance of safeguarding safety & health and that legislative compliance is the minimum standard acceptable and the aim must be to exceed this.
